What Are Porcelain Veneers?

Porcelain veneers are custom-made restorations applied to the teeth’ front surfaces to alter their color, shape, length, and size. A small amount of enamel must be removed (approximately 0.5mm) to provide the necessary space for the veneer to fit well and not look overly bulky.

The next step is taking molds of your teeth which are later sent to our lab to create a model showing how your teeth will look with veneers.

After we take molds, we will place the temporary veneers you’ll wear until the lab finishes fabricating your permanent restorations. 

Finally, we will remove your temporary veneers during your delivery appointment and clean your teeth of any residual cement. Then, Dr. Bruyere will fit your new veneers while checking and making any necessary adjustments to ensure an accurate fit, appearance, and color. Once everything is perfect, your new veneers will be bonded to your teeth using a clinical-strength cement and adhesive.
