Dr. Bruyere believes that if dental work is to be done, it should be done to the greatest degree of excellence. We understand that our patients are busy and need complete dental treatments in as few visits as possible. With porcelain veneers, we need only two visits to transform a chipped, stained, or slightly misaligned smile into a work of art.
Dental veneer treatment can be completed in a few ways. Direct veneers consist of composite resin applied directly to a tooth or teeth and cured with light after material has been shaped, sized, and colored to perfection. Porcelain veneers are a type of indirect veneer. We design these “tooth covers” in our office and send specifications along with a model of your teeth to a dental lab for the completion of veneers. While the process is a bit more detailed and a secondary visit is needed, there are reasons why porcelain veneers receive such good reviews. In our Longview, TX practice, we strive for convenience. We do not let this diminish our dedication to quality.
Some of the benefits of porcelain material for veneer treatment include:
When you want your beautiful smile to last for decades, porcelain is the wisest choice for veneer material. Maintaining the results of treatment means no more than taking good care of your teeth with oral hygiene. One of the primary reasons that veneer treatment fails is that decay develops on the veneered tooth. While we perform a thorough examination and tooth repair, if needed, before veneer treatment, what happens after veneers are affixed to a tooth or teeth will also play a role in long-term success. The good news is that caring for your beautiful new smile is easy!
